The Faculty of Marine Studies is organizing STEcoMed 2026—International Conference on Sustainable Ecosystems in the Mediterranean Area—on October 22 and 23 at MedILS. This conference will bring together experts from various fields related to Mediterranean’s sustainable development.
We invite scientists, prominent industry experts, researchers, and policymakers to share their knowledge and experience regarding the sustainability of the Mediterranean's blue (marine), green (agricultural), and yellow (tourism and digitalization) ecosystems, with a special focus on environmental protection and the resilience of coastal areas.

Join us this October in Split to present your research and participate in discussions on key challenges related to sustainable agri-food systems, fisheries, aquaculture, marine pollution, climate change, biodiversity, tourism, digitalization in agri-food sector, and conservation of coastal and marine environments.
Participants will have the opportunity to present their research findings in oral and poster presentations and engage in discussions with domestic and international experts. The conference will also facilitate networking among researchers and development of new international collaborations.
