Delegation from University of Pennsylvania visiting University of Split

On July 8, University of Split was visited by University of Pennsylvania’s delegation led by Professor Larry Monet.

The UPenn delegation made of 17 members consisted of 3 professors, program coordinator and 13 students enrolled in Executive Doctorate in Higher Education Management program, and Split was the first of four Croatian universities they would visit during their study trip.

Meetings were held with Vice-rector for international cooperation and cooperation with the local community, prof. Zoran Đogaš Ph.D., head of Hotel Management and Gastronomy, prof. Vlatka Škokić Ph.D. and head of quality department, Nina Milanović, with the support of Department for International Cooperation.

Aim of the visit was to introduce students to the local higher education system, with an emphasis on the university’s management and organizational structure, student experiences and their preparation for labor market, as well as institutional alignment with national goals.

The delegation also visited University Library and University Gallery, accompanied by librarian adviser, Mirta Matošić, and Head of Gallery, Helena Trze Jakelić.
