University of Parthenope and its Language Centre (CLA) offers a short online course on Italian culinary and non-verbal communication, designed for students and employees who wish to deepen their understanding of two important dimensions of Italian culture: gastronomy and expressive non-verbal language.
During 4 online lectures (8 hours in total), participants will learn about history and regional variations of Italian cuisine, explore how Italian food culture and terminology travel abroad, and analyse how Italian culinary tradition influenced language and intercultural experience. A special module is dedicated to Italian body language and gestures, their function in social interactions and how are they perceived in intercultural encounters.
