Today, the Student Centre is not just a place where students come for lunch or to pick up a job contract. It is the daily backbone of student life in Split, a place where students come every day, their living room. - Events on campus are excellent. From tournaments to concerts and dinners. We constantly have a good offer - says Ivan Bešlić, a mechanical engineering student at FESB.
Campus is alive 24 hours a day. In 2025 alone, the Campus restaurant hosted over 75 different student events, from quizzes and stand-up performances to movie screenings, parties, and themed evenings. The area in front of Bruno Bušić on Spinut is not lacking in terms of fun. There, for International Labor Day, Spinut Mayfest was organized in cooperation with University of Split’s Student Council, featuring games, barbecue, tamburitza and a DJ music.
-What impressed me about SC is that they are truly dedicated to students. They don’t focus on themselves but on how we can enjoy free time and have fun. I’ve eaten at several universities in Croatia, but ours has the best food. It’s diverse and tasty - adds Katarina Džajkić, a civil engineering student.
In 2025, the Split Student Center invested over 3.2 million euros of its own funds into infrastructure, equipment, student accommodation, food, and activities that raise students’ quality of life daily.
-Regarding infrastructure, the Split Student Center definitely has best conditions in Croatia - says Marko Mišković, an electronics student from University Department of Professional Studies in Kopilica.
A large part of investment went into student dormitories. Throughout the year, rooms in the Spinut hostel were air-conditioned, sanitary facilities were fully renovated, mattresses and chairs replaced, rooms and common areas arranged, new washing machines and dryers installed, and the campus surrounding area was landscaped. Sports and social facilities on Campus were restored. Dormitories function as small student cities with lots of free content.
-In Split, I feel better than ever, not because of faculty, but because of all extracurricular activities - Marko concluded.
Today, the student standard is no longer just about basic conditions, but about quality of the entire student experience, which Split Student Centre successfully builds year after year, making Split an attractive destination for studying.
